His work has been published by ABC News, The Nation magazine, the New York Daily News, Al Jazeera English, Free Speech Radio News, Inter-Press News, and other publications. He has been interviewed about his reporting in Haiti for Democracy Now! and the Canadian Broadcasting Company, among others outlets, and has produced video for Agence France Presse, PBS NewsHour, and ITV.
A Seattle native and survivor of the 2010 Haiti earthquake, Ansel is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin School of Journalism and the University of Washington Early Entrance Program.
He’s also a web developer specializing in WordPress-based sites, including blogs and news magazines.
