My report for The Stranger on a Seattle woman who committed suicide before her eviction and blamed “foreclosure vultures”


Investigative work for ABC News and Al Jazeera English that uncovered a videotaped sexual assault by United Nations peacekeepers, sparking an international outcry (1, 23)

I initiated contact with WikiLeaks in 2010 that led to an exclusive partnership between the whistleblowing organization and Haiti Liberte and The Nation magazine. Two colleagues and I unearthed numerous revelations within the cache of almost 2,000 secret diplomatic cables. I wrote about disaster capitalism and the US campaign against Haitian President Jean-Bertrand Aristide, and militarized humanitarian efforts (1, 2, 3)

The only detailed report on the hanging death of a 16-year-old boy inside a UN peacekeeping base, for Haiti Liberte (1)
