I gave money to Care and to Partners In Health (in Cange) to help Haitians. Everybody should read "Mountains Beyond Mountains" to see how devoted Paul Farmer (who co-founded PIH) has been to helping Haitians for decades. They had reduced TB to almost zero in their area of about 150,000 people before the earthquake. "Save the Children" and Red Cross are also good. The Haitian government should make a list of the agencies that are doing good work. I heard there was an architect making plans for a new capital near Port-au-Prince. Best wishes!

But we have a more urgent task at hand: We must cast the ring of power into the fires of Mt. Doom. Forget Chavez – where’s Frodo at?

It appears the U.S./Canada/France and other western capitalist, imperial countries have no intention of releasing their iron grip on Haiti. Looks like Venezuela is the only nation who is really trying to help the people.

ansel,

thank you so much for helping us get this sad story out and in everyone's faces. this is happening all over haiti and is being ignored. we will not lay down and allow things to be left unsaid.
I hope to meet you on my next trip over in the next few days.

regards
